First $5 Million Dragon Link Jackpot Hits at Aria

One spin, one bet of $50, and a payout of more than five million dollars. That is how a slot player at Aria Resort & Casino in Las Vegas spent Wednesday, October 14, 2026, according to a release from MGM Resorts and Aristocrat Gaming.
The win came on one of the $5 million Dragon Link games that were installed in the resort’s high-limit room. MGM says these links went live in July, and this was the first time any player collected the full top prize since then. The Las Vegas Review-Journal reported the exact figure as $5,066,400.83, citing the casino’s own social media post.
The winner is a Las Vegas resident who chose to stay anonymous. MGM noted the game was a $1 machine played at a $50 bet, so this was not a giant wager chasing a giant number. It was a regular high-limit spin that landed the grand prize.
Aria’s president and COO, Sean Lanni, said in the release that guests visit expecting something extraordinary and that the resort delivered by paying the winner more than $5 million. He also mentioned that the same games are offered at Bellagio and The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas.
PokerNews added some colour from a video shared online by a YouTuber. In the clip a woman can be heard shouting that she just won five million dollars. The site also explained how the bonus works: collecting all 15 orbs in the bonus round triggers the Grand jackpot. It noted that the winner’s payout method was not made public.
Why does a story like this matter to game operators? Big, visible jackpots keep players talking about a title. Dragon Link and similar hold-and-spin games are popular on online fish and sweepstakes systems too, because the bonus round is easy to follow and fun to watch.
